North Jakarta Administration is going to
return the people with social welfare issues (PMKS) living under toll road to their hometown in the near future. Before that, they will be socialized and trained first.
The training is consisting of farming, gardening, making napkins, sandals, etc
“North Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Social Department, and social institution that manage the gepeng (the term used to lump together vagabonds/tramps, and beggars) will hold socialization to people living under toll road. The most important thing is by directing them to improve their economy for the better,” expressed Head of North Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Ucu Rahayu, Friday (5/15).
176 PMKS Sent Home to Their HometownsRahayu stated before returning, those PMKS will be trained first in social institution. Most of them are from West Java and Central Java.
“The training is consisting of farming, gardening, making napkins, sandals, etc,” she uttered.
After getting training, they are hoped could live decently in the hometown someday.
“We will cooperate with local social department to realize our program thus it can be done optimally," uttered Rahayu.
